The Story of the GRP-MNLF Peace Process, 1975–1996
No longer sold new: look for it in a library, or for a used copy.
The twenty-one years of talks between the government and the Moro National Liberation Front, from Jeddah to the 1996 Final Peace Agreement, by a historian who sat on the government panel.
This book tells the story of the peace talks between the Philippine government and the Moro National Liberation Front from 1975 to 1996, ending with the Final Peace Agreement. "Kalinaw" means peace. The Alternate Forum for Research in Mindanao published it in Davao City in 2000, with maps and illustrations.
The author, B. R. (Rudy) Rodil, is a Mindanao historian and peace advocate who took part in the government's negotiations with the MNLF and later the MILF. He wrote it to show that the path of peace is not only desirable but doable, and costs far less in lives and money than war. In 2020 MindaNews ran a revised version of the book in 18 parts in his column.
