This 203-page collection, edited by Kamarulzaman Askandar and Ayesah Abubakar, was published in 2005 by the Southeast Asian Conflict Studies Network. It brings together papers by scholars and practitioners on the conflict in Mindanao and the efforts to end it.
Miriam Coronel Ferrer opens with the Philippine state and Moro resistance, and Abhoud Syed M. Lingga follows with the Mindanao peace process. Soliman M. Santos Jr. writes on Malaysia's role in the talks between the government and the MILF, and Ayesah Abubakar on keeping the peace. Later chapters cover the Bangsamoro ancestral domain (Lualhati Abreu), peace zones in Mindanao (Zosimo Lee), identity and conflict among the Lumad (Albert Alejo) and the Ligawasan marsh (Tarhata Mapandi).
