25 Friday sermons written by 25 ulama from across Mindanao who trained at universities in Muslim countries. The sermons, in Arabic with an English translation, are meant as supplementary material for those who deliver the khutbah.
This book collects 25 Friday sermons (khutbah) written by 25 ulama from different regions of Mindanao, graduates in various fields of colleges and universities in Muslim countries. The sermons are written in Arabic, and an English translation is published with them as a companion.
The sermons are meant as extra material for those who deliver the Friday khutbah. Their main aim is to convey the true concepts and values of Islam to Friday congregations and to urge listeners, in suitable language, to keep away from extremist groups. They are arranged as 25 modules on 5 major themes, as one way of helping address violent extremism. The book was published in 2019 and runs to 227 pages.
